About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Yard and Logistics Supervisor at our Launceston branch.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role will ensure all driver have sufficient support, resources and guidance to achieve Supagas objectives.

Your Duties will include 

  • Managing the daily operations of the Branch logistics and yard operations.
  • Effective and efficient management of the customer service (delivery) operation (including Bulk LPG).
  • Forward planning for growth and continuous improvement for deliveries.
  • Ensure co-ordination of training is provided for current and future drivers and yard staff to the required standards.
  • Ensure induction and Safety training of all new sales staff and other workplace participants occurs in line with the standard Supagas Induction and Safety training which includes a module on Competition and Consumer Law.
  • Effective and efficient management of all drivers and yard staff
  • Conduct regular tool box meetings
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed every day
  • Be pro-active in reviewing cylinder and bulk runs on a regular basis and reorganise as required to balance the workload, improve service and business efficiency.

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills and Experience:

  • MR truck licence preferrable
  • Forklift licence preferrable
  • DG experience
  • Tertiary education in Management
  • Scheduling knowledge
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • A "YES WE CAN" attitude towards customer service
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • 100% compliance to safety, company policies and procedures
  • This position involves the provision of services to clients requiring you to undertake a National Police Check prior to commencement and regular renewals as required.
