About the Role
We currently have a full time, permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter/ Plant Operations at the Ingleburn major hazard facility (MHF).
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this hands-on leadership position ensures safety compliance, delivery of prioritised preventative maintenance, urgent response to breakdowns, and the accurate control of site spares and tools in location.
Duties
Carry out all aspects of plant maintenance/ inspections and communicate updates of the MEX CMMS for plant and equipment
Lead maintenance personnel and prioritise/ allocated regular tasks within the team
Communicate directly with the operational departments to effectively deliver preventative maintenance tasks and repair works in process areas
Work closely with technical/ Engineers to meet prioritised maintenance tasks, and project installations
Actively participate and facilitate safety risk assessments
Understanding of the site MHF safety case and major incident (MI) controls.
Effective contractor management through review of the contractor safe work method statements (SWMS), permit completions and documented compliance observations
Perform cryogenic reciprocation & centrifugal pumps maintenance and rebuilds
Proactively implement the Supagas safety management system policies, procedures, and permit processes
Desired Skills and Experience
Skills
Qualifications in mechanical engineering trade essential, tertiary training in chemical, mechanical, electrical or gas industry highly regarded.
Experienced technical hands-on leader within the Industrial Gas industry and or LPG industry
Sound knowledge of MHF or dangerous goods safety management
Ability to read and P&ID diagrams
Sound knowledge of oxygen safe technology, gas properties, pipe and vessel installations
Valid Australian Drivers licence
Forklift licence, desirable
A National Police Check and Demerit Points Statement is required PRIOR to commencement.
