Job Description
About the role
We’re on the lookout for a dependable Delivery Driver to join our operations team based out of our Lonsdale branch.
You will be responsible for delivering and collecting gas cylinders for both commercial and residential customers across various metro and surrounding suburbs.
This role involves regular manual handling of gas cylinders of various sizes, so it suits someone who is comfortable working in a hands-on, physically demanding role.
You will:
Load and deliver bulk cylinder and individual cylinder products - perform multi drop deliveries.
Drive 4–12 tonne trucks, ensuring vehicle safety and cleanliness through pre-start and walkaround checks.
Use handheld scanner tech for tracking deliveries and managing stock.
Keep your paperwork in check – consignment notes, logs, and electronic entries.
Prioritize safety at every level, with a high level of safety exerted in road and traffic safety and patience.
Report any hazards, safety concerns, near misses and accidents and incidents.
Maintain good time management and provide positive customer experience at every stop.
Desired Skills and Experience
You possess:
Valid C Class or MR/HR Licence.
A Forklift license is desirable but not essential.
Sense of independence and problem solve when on your own.
A commitment to preventing and managing your own fatigue.
Some mechanical knowledge that can be extremely helpful when on the road – how to take care of minor maintenance issues.
