About the Role
Due to continued growth across Supagas, we are seeking a Training Officer based in Brisbane, supporting our expanding operational footprint across the state.
As the Queensland Training Officer, you will be responsible for delivering skills-based, compliance-driven training to employees, labour hire workers, and drivers across key Queensland sites.
This role is primarily field-based and offers a high level of autonomy to plan and manage your training schedule. If you enjoy a hands-on training role with variety, travel, and the opportunity to make a tangible operational impact, this position is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver onboarding and compliance-based training and assessment to new and existing employees across Queensland operations
Ensure training aligns with Supagas’ competency framework, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Support training and assessment to ensure operational readiness and compliance
Maintain, update, and improve training materials in line with legislative and operational changes
Track, assess, and sign off competencies, ensuring accurate documentation and data integrity
Design tailored learning solutions through learning needs analysis to address performance gaps
Reduce training backlogs and minimise delays to operational readiness
Collaborate with operational leaders and cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement
Manage training schedules across Southeast Queensland, regional Queensland, and North Queensland locations
Ensure the learning management system (LMS) is maintained and updated as required

Desired Skills and Experience
Skills & Experience
Proven experience delivering training to an operational workforce, ideally with experience in various transport combinations.
A background in transport or a related industry with experience in driver training
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent
MC Driver Licence is highly regarded
HR Driver Licence
Dangerous Goods experience is highly regarded
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information
Proven ability to influence and build strong working relationships through collaboration
High attention to detail with strong reporting and documentation skills
Comfortable working autonomously in a field-based role with minimal supervision
Willingness to travel extensively across Queensland
Must be willing to complete a pre-employment medical examination before starting
