About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Training Officer to join our Learning & Development Team, based in Sunshine or Somerton, to support our expanding operations.
In this hands-on role, you will deliver skills-based, compliance-driven training to employees, labour hire workers, and drivers across VIC, TAS, SA, and NT. You will also maintain and update our Learning Management System (LMS), keeping training programs current, accurate, and aligned with safety, operational, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, deliver, and assess in-house training programs for new and existing employees across our VIC, TAS, SA, and NT sites, with a focus on safety and operational compliance.
- Maintain and update the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring training aligns with Supagas’ competency framework, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and improve training materials in line with legislative, operational, and industry changes.
- Track and report training outcomes in the LMS, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Conduct training needs analysis and design tailored learning solutions to address skill gaps.
- Manage training documentation and competency profiles, monitoring employee progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster continuous learning and operational improvement.

Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience delivering in-house training to operational teams, ideally in transport or related industries.
- Experience in driver training and workforce compliance.
- Competent in Learning Management Systems (LMS) for updating courses and tracking competencies.
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent.
- HR Driver Licence.
- MC Driver Licence is highly regarded.
- Dangerous Goods experience is highly regarded.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information simply and clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
